Redmi Go to first time smartphone users who are buying the smartSmart for the first time, Device is made of good quality poly-carbonate to make it solid, back design will make you remember MI 5 in the front it is not following trend of notch. In and feel is good because of the curve back panel.
The right side of the phone has the volume rockers along with the power/unlock/lock button. The left side of the phone is relatively clean with just a dual SIM tray which is placed on there. The 3.5mm audio jack can be found on top of the phone while a micro USB port along with the speaker grille, and the microphone are placed at the bottom no type C port but it is fine because of the price.
Redmi Go Display
Xiaomi, Redmi Go is having a 5-inch 720p HD screen with good viewing angles and produce good colors, That means the 3000mAh battery doesn’t have to burn a lot of power just to power the display on the phone.
Redmi Go Camera
The smartphone has a single primary camera at the back with a 8 MP sensor which is supported by an LED flash. As per the company, the Redmi Go takes advantage of AI and produce good photos and to adjust the colors in a shot. Other supported features of the phone include Night mode, Panorama, HDR, Pro Mode and Face beauty. Photos that were taken in decent sunlight turn out to be good and hsd detailed colors but the performance of the camera goes down when it came to the low light performance.

Coming to the 5 MP front facing the camera, the front camera is also enhanced by AI and you can capture selfies in portrait mode too. The camera worked well in good lighting conditions but just like the rear camera, the performance takes a dip when you try and use it in low light environments.

The Redmi Go comes with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 425 processor which is coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. The phone performs decently well when it comes to day to day apps because of Android Go optimization but if you push it too much, you will notice the signs of lag and freezes.
This phone is not for gaming but this phone it can easily run games such as Temple Run and Subway Surfers you can’t think to play PUBG in it.
Coming to the software, Redmi Go has kept the software experience closer to stock Android but it is in Android Go, the phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo which is now definitely an aged OS for smartphones. To power everything on the smartphone, you get a 3,000mAh battery that can easily power the phone for an entire day and since the phone has an HD display, the display doesn’t take too much of battery which means you will have a decent screen on time.
