How to View Your Past Instagram Comments

1. Download Instagram Data
This method is one of the best as the Instagram data of your profile includes all the comments and contains information about your messages, settings, posts you have liked, profile info, photos, videos, and archived Stories.
Here’s how to see all your comments on Instagram:
Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your Android or iPhone and tap on the Profile > hamburger icon in the top right corner.
Step 2: Go to Your activity and tap on Download your information.
Note: On Instagram Web, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Data download. Click on the Request Download option.
Step 3: Type your email address in case it doesn’t get filled automatically and tap on Request Download. Now enter your Instagram password.
Step 4: It’s time to wait for Instagram to send your data to your email address. Once you receive the email, open it and click on Download information.
Step 5: The downloaded file will be in Zip format. Use 7zip to extract the file or any other software that you prefer.
Step 6: The extracted file will come with multiple folders. Look for the Comments folder and open it.
Step 7: In the Comments folder you will find a post_comments file in either HTML or JSON format.
If the file is in JSON format, you can use Anyconv to convert JSON to PDF.
If it’s in the HTML file format, tap or click to open the file in any web browser. It will show you all the comments you have made using your Instagram profile. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F on Windows or Command + F on macOS to open the browser’s search function on your computer. On mobile, look for the ‘Find in page‘ or ‘Find in browser‘ option under the three dots icon. Enter a comment to search.

2. Using Your Activity
The Instagram Activity tab is one of the simplest ways to see all the comments you made on Instagram.
Step 1: Open the Instagram app on your Android or iPhone and tap on the hamburger icon in the top right corner.
Step 2: Go to Your activity and tap on Interactions > Comments.
Step 3: Here you will find all your comments with the most recent ones at the top. You can click on ‘Sort & Filter’ to apply different filters. The filters available are:
- Sort by: Newest to Oldest or Oldest to Newest
- Author
- Start Date
- End Date
