MX Player app is one of the most popular video players, as well as the MX Player, is an Indian video streaming and video on demand platform developed by MX Media & Entertainment. It has over 280 million users globally. The platform currently operates on an ad-supported model and has a streaming library of over 150,000 hours across 12 languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
If you are getting an error EAC3 Not Supported MX Player here is how to fix it:
What Is EAC3 Audio Format?
EAC3 which is also called the enhanced AC-3 is a digital audio compression format that was developed by Dolby Labs to store and transport digital audio. It succeeded AC-3 which is another format developed by the same company.
Fix Eac3 Not Supported in MX Player Error
Step 1. Open MX Player App.
Step 2. Tab on the three-dot (located at the top right corner)
Step 3. Click on Settings > Local Player Settings
Step 4. Tap on Decoder option
Note: Check what type of Custom Codec is needed. In my case, it’s ARMv7 Neon type Custom Codec.
Step 6. Tap on Custom Codec option and choose the ZIP file (download it from GitHub as per your device). Once you select, it will ask you to tab on OK to restart the App.
Do that and you are done! For the AIO Codec pack, MX Player will install the required EAC3 Codec automatically from the ZIP. MX Player will restart with the required Codec and afterward, you can enjoy DTS audio on MX Player without any issue. You can now play every audio and video clip on MX Player.
