Step 5. Start the Game with MAME Emulator

Your next step will be launching the DOS command prompt. So, access the Start menu and select the command prompt. When the necessary window appears, make certain to type in the “CMD” command (without quotation marks) and confirm your action by pressing Enter.

To get back to the root folder, you’ll need to write “cd\”.

If you want to access the “C:\mame” directory, make use of the following command: “cd\mame”.

Now it’s high time that you started MAME. To do it, type “mame,” put a space, and indicate the name of the ROM file you would like to play at this moment. For instance, “mame puzzle bobble”.

If you want to make your experience even more authentic, you can connect a gamepad to your comp and select the “Joystick” option in your emulator.

Enjoy your game!
