How to Send WhatsApp Messages Without Saving Contacts.

WhatsApp is the most popular Messaging applications, you can instantly
share media, location, chat, and documents. With all these features,
WhatsApp could have been a perfect app but it has a little crack in
its armor. You can’t send a WhatsApp message to unknowns numbers
without saving to contact first. We know that it’s a security feature
for stop spamming but if you are like me, who often have to text cable
TV operator, plumber and electricians and you don’t like to save their
contacts permanently, well, there is an easy method. Let me tell you
how to send a WhatsApp message without saving contact on Android and
IOS.

How does it work?

WhatsApp is giving an API to start a WhatsApp thread even if that
number isn’t saved in your contacts. The method works but for that you
have to first open a web browser and enter the URL, add the number to
the end and then hit enter. The page will prompts the WhatsApp app to
open. It’s a simple method but you still have to go through a couple
of steps to do it. We can automate these steps to a single tap
operation using Firefox Browser on Android and Siri Shortcuts on iOS.

1. Android
There are a lot more options to send a WhatsApp message without saving
a contact and you can use 3rd party apps for that. I don’t recommend
using these apps because they are unnecessary bloat also I can do it
with just a browser anyway. The method only requires a little bit of
JavaScript knowledge.

You can write a small java script program to prompt your web browser
for a number and then take apart the digits through the API to
initiate the thread. Or you can download the HTML file by clicking
this link. Download

Once the web page opens, extract the HTML file and open it with Firefox.

Go to your Android Phone file explore and open the file with Mozilla
Firefox. The page works on any browser but only Firefox allows you add
a shortcut to your Home Screen. The prompt would ask you to enter the
number, cancel this and tap the options button on the top right corner
and bookmark the page.

You have created a bookmark. Now go to the bookmarks folder press and
hold the bookmark you just created to uncover a dialog box. Tap Edit
and rename the Bookmark here.

Tap and hold the bookmark again and select ‘Add Page shortcut‘. This
would create a shortcut icon to your Home Screen. Place it where you
like on the Home Screen.

To send a WhatsApp Message, tap the shortcut icon on the home screen
that you created and enter the number. There you go, you can now
WhatsApp Message to anyone without saving their no in contacts in the
Phone.

2. iPhone Siri Shortcuts is an amazing part of the IOS and it really
helps you automate long tasks. You can create your own iPhone Siri
shortcuts or download shortcuts made by other users. We will use a
Siri Shortcut to send a WhatsApp Message without saving the in your
Contact.

Firstly, you have to install the shortcut in Siri Shortcuts app. You
can click the link to install the shortcut on your IOS device. If you
don’t live in the U.S, just change the country code in the Shortcut as
shown in the image below. Go to the Shortcuts app and tap the options
button on WhatsApp Thread. Change the Country code in the text
section.

You access the shortcut using multiple ways, ask Siri to do it for you
or you can tap the shortcut in the app, add it to the home screen.

To add Shortcut to the Home Screen, you need to go to the Shortcuts
app, Tap the three dots (options) button on your Shortcut and tap
‘Share‘. Select ‘Add to Home Screen‘ and you’re done.

Siri can run the shortcuts for you which makes the process very easy
and entirely autonomous. You do not even need to press a button and
just use your voice to call Siri.

For adding the Siri commands go the Siri Shortcuts app and tap the
options (three dots). Tap the control center button on the top right
and select ‘Add to Siri’.

The phrase can be anything you want tap to the record button, say the
phrase and tap Done. You Shortcut is now ready and you can run it with
Siri as well.

To see it in action, just say Siri, Say the Phrase to run the
Shortcut, Enter the number and start chating on the WhatsApp.

Send WhatsApp Messages Without Saving Contacts.

These were two ways to Send a WhatsApp Message without saving the
contact number in your phone. Siri Shortcuts is surely the best method
to do it on an iPhone. Android has multiple apps to send a WhatsApp
Message but I really like this method because it’s one tap and doesn’t
require any 3rd party app installation. Which method do you like most?
