Lenovo was out of the game in the Indian smartphone market for quite some time and now they have come back with three new smartphones named as Lenovo K10 Note, Lenovo Z6 Pro, and the Lenovo A6 Note. Lenovo Z6 Pro is a flagship device which was launched already China but Lenovo decided to all wheel K10 note and A6 note globally in India. Lenovo K10 Note is directly going to compete in the mid range segment with Redmi Note 8 Pro, Realme 5 Pro, Xiaomi Mi A3 and Lenovo’s own Motorola One Action. The prices starts from Rs 13,999, the K10 Note this offers a 2X optical zoom in the rear camera that is not so common in this price bracket.

Lenovo K10 Note: Hands-on First Look

Lenovo K10 Note is pretty much identical to the budget bring the Redmi Note 7 Pro, but there are much difference the first one comes in the build quality where is Note 7 Pro is made out of glass and design, K10 Note is unibody design which is made entirely of polycarbonate that’s use and shine like glass. On the front, the smartphone features a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen with 19:5:9 aspect ratio, and a dewdrop notch and that is powered by a 4,050mAh battery and yet is slim and lightweight. During my limited time with the device, I found the display to be bright and vibrant thanks to Lenovo for packing a display that can go upto 450 NITs of brightness that makes outdoor visibility great.

Lenovo K10 Note: Camera Hands-on

K10 Note offers a 16-megapixel selfie camera at the front. But I have to say the USP of the smartphone is its 8MP 2X telephoto for the rear camera, which is very rare in smartphones in this price segment. Lenovo offers triple-camera setup at the back. That includes a 16-megapixel f/1.8 primary lens with an 8-megapixel secondary telephoto lens and the third 5-megapixel depth camera to take more natural looking portrait shots. Lenovo is touting lossless image quality with 2x optical zoom. There is no optical image stabilization (OIS) as this can increase the price, but Lenovo promises good video output with electronic image stabilization (EIS). In my short period of usage, I could only test the cameras indoors only, and it performed well. We will bring you the final results with camera samples in our full review so stay tuned for that.

Lenovo K10 Note: Processor Hands-on

The K10 Note powerd Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 SoC that we have seen the performance with Realme X, K10 is available in 4GB or 6GB RAM. Lenovo will be selling this in two configuration models via Flipkart. The 4GB RAM model will have 64GB internal storage, while the 6GB RAM model will bring in 128GB onboard storage. The handset also offer support for microSD card but in a hybrid SIM slot option. This means you’ll either be able to use two SIM cards or one SIM card with a microSD card. Lenovo ships the phone with its own ZUI 11, which is based on Android 9 Pie. And the good part is, the interface is very close to stock Android, and so far better than the other Chinese UI’s you see in smartphones these days.

In terms of battery, Lenovo has gone a 4,050mAh battery, which should give you one day use at least. The phone supports USB Type-C charging and it is bundled an 18W fast charger in the box. It also offer Dolby Atmos audio, a 3.5mm audio port, and the rear fingerprint sensor.

Lenovo K10 Note: Initial Impressions

Lenovo K10 Note at Rs 13,999 is a strong contender in this price segment with its triple-rear camera and 2X optical zoom. Lenovo has tried to keep things very simple, and has offered everything that a consumer prefers in this price range. The handset looks good and feels sturdy. I found the device’s performance and camera to be decent for its price, but “the competition in this price segment is fierce” for Lenovo. Especially, from the recently launched phones like the Realme 5 Pro and Xiaomi Mi A3. We will soon come up with our full review of the K10 Note.
